Jonathan Glew is a freelance theatre director, playwright and composer based in London.

Last year Jonathan continued his long running collaboration with the Jamie Lloyd Company as Shakespeare returned to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane for the first time since 1957. 

The Jamie Lloyd Co. season began with ‘The Tempest’ starring Sigourney Weaver,  followed by  ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ starring Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell.  Jonathan was the Text Editor on both of the plays  alongside his role as Associate Director and both edits have been recently published by Josef Weinberger Plays

LIPA Actors Showcase 2026

Jonathan will direct this years cohort of graduating actors in their industry showcase. Performances will take place at the Underbelly Boulevard, London on March 23rd and Home in Manchester on March 25th

LIPA 30th Birthday Gala.

The Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts turns 30 years old on June 7th and Jonathan has been asked to write and direct a gala performance to take place at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. The evening will be a celebration of the breadth and depth of talent that the school has nurtured over it’s 30 year life with LIPA alumni flying in from all across the world to reconnect with the school, current students and their fellow alumni.
