Jonathan Glew is a freelance theatre director, playwright and composer based in London.

Last year Jonathan continued his long running collaboration with the Jamie Lloyd Company as Shakespeare returned to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane for the first time since 1957. 

The Jamie Lloyd Co. season began with ‘The Tempest’ starring Sigourney Weaver,  followed by  ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ starring Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell.  Jonathan was the Text Editor on both of the plays  alongside his role as Associate Director and both edits have been recently published by Josef Weinberger Plays

Much Ado About Nothing - Broadway 2026

The sell-out five star Jamie Lloyd Co. production of Much Ado About Nothing which opened at Drury Lane in 2025 is heading to Broadway for a 10 week run at The Winter Garden Theatre. The full company are returning for the Broadway production and Jonathan returns as the UK associate director and text editor. Much Ado About Nothing runs on Broadway from October 31st - January 10th. LIPA 30th Birthday Gala.

The Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts turned 30 years old on June 7th and Jonathan wrote, produced and directed a huge gala performance at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall to commemorate. The evening celebrated the breadth and depth of talent that the school has nurtured over it’s 30 year life with LIPA alumni flying in from all across the world to reconnect with the school, current students and their fellow alumni.
